This is the largest grant awarded by The Erie Community Foundation or received by Hamot Health Foundation in the history of either organization.

HRSA Opioid Grant
The misuse of opioids is a national crisis, destroying lives at an alarming speed. Every day, more than 130 people in the United States die after overdosing on opioids, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Families are being torn apart by a vicious addiction that has no conscience nor regard for background, position, race, color, or creed.
