Local blood supplies experience critical levels. UPMC Hamot recently partnered with the Community Blood Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York to hold a blood drive at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital–UPMC Hamot Campus.

Keystone 10 Breastfeeding Initiative
Hamot Health Foundation has secured a grant through the Keystone 10 Breastfeeding Initiative with the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Keystone 10 Initiative was developed to assist birthing facilities in improving breastfeeding care and ultimately improving the health of mothers and babies.
