It has been more than a year since Hamot Health Foundation jumped in to help combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Erie community.

Since HHF was awarded a $6 million grant from The Erie Community Foundation to help launch Magee-Womens Research Institute (MWRI) Erie in 2019, we have been busy bringing important research and job opportunities to Erie.

In August of 2021, under the direction of Karen Morahan, PhD, RN, CNE, and in partnership with Gannon University, the UPMC Jameson School of Nursing at UPMC Hamot will welcome our inaugural class.

In January 2019, HHF committed to helping UPMC Hamot and UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh as they joined forces to open the Erie CARE (Child Abuse Referral and Evaluation) Clinic.
