On November 15, 180 friends joined HHF for an event supporting the creation of a Child Life Specialist position at UPMC Hamot. Together with our guests and sponsors, we raised over $40,000!

For more than a year, BUILD CDC's street outreach nurse has been working to build trust with a local woman, Moonbeam. (A nickname chosen by her to protect her privacy.) When they recently crossed paths, she confided in Sarah about the worsening condition of the apartment she was renting. She'd pleaded for repairs numerous times, but the landlord had ignored them.

Now through the end of the year, every dollar donated to the SLM Cancer Fund will be matched by an anonymous donor up to $50,000.

Brighten the Night returns on November 25, this year, with some reimagined aspects. While the event is still a beautiful way to honor a loved one, it also provides a new way to recognize special caregivers and health care workers. Consider illuminating a light for those who have made a difference in your life this year.
