The misuse of opioids is a national crisis, destroying lives at an alarming speed. Every day, more than 130 people in the United States die after overdosing on opioids, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Families are being torn apart by a vicious addiction that has no conscience nor regard for background, position, race, color, or creed.

On June 26, Bob-FM partnered with Hamot Health Foundation to host the seventh annual 94.7 Bob FM Radiothon benefitting the Children’s Care Fund (CCF) at HHF.

The “BOB Plays Anything For Children” Radiothon (or “Bob-a-thon”) is coming back for the eighth year to raise money for the Children’s Care Fund. Stop by any Erie Burger King from June 22 to 28, to support the Children's Care Fund.

As a supporter of community health initiatives, Hamot Health Foundation works to tether impoverished neighborhoods to hope and opportunity. The Erie Center for Arts and Technology (ECAT) is one such model. Recently in the headlines, ECAT is a nonprofit organization that functions as a community-based educational arts and career training facility.

​Join UPMC Transplant Services of UPMC Hamot and the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE) throughout the spring of 2019 as we celebrate the gift of life and bring attention to the importance of organ donation. A single organ, tissue, and eye donor have the potential to save eight lives and help more than 75 people. All events are open to the public.
