The Bob-a-Thon Raised $14,500 This Year
On June 26, Bob-FM partnered with Hamot Health Foundation to host the seventh annual 94.7 Bob FM Radiothon benefitting the Children’s Care Fund (CCF) at HHF.
Guest speakers included beneficiaries of the CCF and children’s services provided by UPMC Hamot, including a number of patient families. Liam Reitzell, 6-year old son of Billy and Nicole Reitzell, was our host child this year. Liam talked about his own patient experience and encouraged listeners to help sick children and their families. The Bob-a-Thon raised $14,500 this year.
The Children’s Care Fund is used to help defray costs for pediatric patients and their families, fund local school and community needs related to child health and safety, and fund state-of-the-art equipment, technology, and therapy for UPMC Hamot’s NICU and Children’s Specialty Care Center in Erie. The CCF also supports advanced services, capital needs, pediatric research opportunities, and access to specialty care for children in our community.
Hamot Health Foundation wishes to thank the sponsors of this event — Bob FM 94.7, iHeart Radio, UPMC Health Plan, Buick Dealers, Burger King, Bonnell’s Auto Group, A. Caplan Company, George Winston Plumbing, Eastway Lanes, and the National Club.
