Organ Donor Awareness Activities

Celebrate the gift of life.

Join UPMC Transplant Services of UPMC Hamot and the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE) throughout the spring of 2019 as we celebrate the gift of life and bring attention to the importance of organ donation. A single organ, tissue, and eye donor have the potential to save eight lives and help more than 75 people. All events are open to the public.

• Thursday, April 4 — UPMC Donate Life Flag Raising Ceremony‚ 10 a.m. in the UPMC Hamot Lobby
• Thursday, April 4 — Celebration of Life, 7:30 p.m. in the Lincoln Education Room, Magee-Womens, UPMC Hamot
• Sunday, April 7 — Dash to Donate 5K at Presque Isle State Park. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and the race begins at 8:30 a.m.
• Friday, April 12 — National Blue and Green Day
• Wednesday, April 17 — International Transplant Nurses’ Day
• Thursday, April 18 — Transplant Town Hall, 6 p.m. in the UPMC Chautauqua Auditorium
