Wear White Open Recap
The Wear White Open raised over $60,000 for funds at Hamot Health Foundation.
On Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Kahkwa Club, the inaugural Wear White Open presented by Howard Industries raised over $60,000 for nine different funds at Hamot Health Foundation.
Each foursome in the tournament competed for the fund of their choice. The winning team from PNC was able to allocate $25,000 to the Children’s Care Fund. The Robertsons and Toys in second place designated $10,000 to the Emergency Department Fund. And the third-place team from our presenting sponsor, Howard Industries, assigned their $7,500 to the UPMC Hamot Fund. All other foursomes gave $2,500 to their favorite funds, and some funds received donations from up to four teams.
Special thanks to our sponsors, Howard Industries, UPMC Hamot Aid Society, Dr. Jay C. Moritz, and Drs. J. Brad Bellotte and Pamela Beck, for their tremendous generosity and support of this event! And thank you to our golfers for breaking the rules of fashion and wearing white after Labor Day!
We can’t wait to host the event again next year.
