Camp Good Grief

Great Lakes Hospice will again be hosting their fourth annual Camp Good Grief on June 20, 2018, at Camp Sherwin.

Children who have been impacted by loss, regardless of whether or not their loved one was cared for by Great Lakes Hospice, are invited to come enjoy this one-day camp.

Camp Good Grief provides a therapeutic, fun setting where children ages 6–18 can talk openly and share their feelings with others who have had similar experiences. At camp, children will benefit from guidance and support from trained bereavement volunteers and have the opportunity to participate in activities like games, crafts, music, yoga, dance, and swimming, in addition to small group discussions and a grief workshop. Family members are invited to attend a memorial service at the end of the day.
