Brighten the Night

An annual tradition at UPMC Hamot since 2011, Hamot Health Foundation and Family Hospice of Erie will host Brighten the Night 2019.

Brighten the Night Christmas Tree

This meaningful event consists of a tree-lighting ceremony to be held Dec. 10, at 5:30 p.m., in the main lobby of UPMC Hamot.

The designated tree rests on UPMC Hamot’s front lawn and remains lit throughout the holiday season. A symbol of light and love, the tree is magically illuminated by thoughtful donors in honor of loved ones.

Brighten the Night raises funds and awareness for Family Hospice of Erie. Providing quality end-of-life care in our community for more than 400 terminally ill patients and their families each year, this organization is an essential representation of community health.

Family Hospice of Erie assists in meeting an array of both critical needs and practicalities during an intensive period of life. These may include expert patient care, comfort measures, spiritual counseling, bereavement support groups, children’s grief camps, educational events, special occasion celebrations, and more.

This holiday season, please consider donating to Brighten the Night to bring light to those who need it most.
