Evan's Dad

This is where it all began… not feeling well led us to UPMC Hamot.

After a scan showed a mass in Evan’s abdomen, we were sent to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he was diagnosed with A Typical Burkett’s Lymphoma.

After that, it seems like a blink. He had surgery to remove the tumor, and chemotherapy, then we started our 7-year journey of follow-up care.

There are a lot of stories between then and now, but I like the now… Evan is doing great! He’s just finished his senior year at Penn State Behrend in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program.

Because of Evan’s journey, we started Bob Plays Anything for Children to help other families in Erie dealing with similar issues.

Now in our 11th year, our passion for helping others is even stronger. So, listen on June 21st to hear from Evan and the entire Lang family.
