Runway Fun Run Recap

HHF’s first-ever Fun Run was a soaring success!

On October 4, 2025, over 280 participants laced up their sneakers and joined us on the tarmac at North Coast Air, helping us raise over $14,000 for the Children’s Care Fund.

As the crowd strolled into North Coast Air’s entry gate, the air buzzed with laughter and excitement. Tim Hortons offered a sweet welcome with donuts, hot chocolate, and coffee, while a Burger King bounce house had kids jumping and giggling. The one and only Otto from the Erie Otters was on hand, ready to cheer on runners with his trademark energy. Nearby, airplanes and airport equipment waited for wide-eyed explorers to take a closer look.

The event was heartwarming not just for the sights and treats, but for the incredible mix of participants. From tiny feet tucked in strollers to confident runners striding down the runway, all were racing toward a shared finish line: advancing pediatric care at UPMC Hamot.
