Join Us for Friendsgiving

In honor of their daughter Anna Clare, local couple Dave and Jen Markiewicz have teamed up with HHF to host Friendsgiving — a Friends-themed fundraiser inspired by the television show Anna most adored. The event will benefit HHF’s Children’s Care Fund while also celebrating the spirit and memory of Anna Clare, who bravely fought cancer for four years.

Friendsgiving promises to include iconic catchphrases from the show and references aplenty, but that will be wrapped around a very real purpose: raising funds to advance pediatric health care and support local children and their families.

HHF’s Children’s Care Fund has recently provided partial salary support for UPMC Hamot’s first ever Child Life Specialist, a nonclinical role that supports children and families’ emotional needs as they navigate their medical journey. Anna Clare grew incredibly close to her Child Life Specialists at UPMC Children’s Hospital, and her parents are proud to help bring this essential role to the UPMC Hamot team.
