11th Annual Hamot Health Foundation Gala

On October 7th, the 2023 Hamot Health Foundation Gala, presented by Rebich Investments, welcomed over 550 guests for the 11th annual black-tie event.

Highlighting the collective achievements of UPMC Hamot and Hamot Health Foundation, the event showcased the many lives that are changing in our community — from nursing school graduates to cancer patients to women in recovery from substance use disorder. Much like these individuals, HHF and the Erie region remain under construction as we work to build upon our strengths and elevate our community.

One of the most memorable moments of the night was the surprise we had in store for David Gibbons. In recognition of his immense impact on the hospital and the community, HHF and UPMC leaders were proud to announce that the 5th floor nursing education laboratory at UPMC Hamot will be renamed the David P. Gibbons Training Center in his honor.

Like last year, Gary Racan and the 14-piece Studio e Band displayed extraordinary showmanship and musical range. Vocal powerhouse Loren Allred also returned for this year’s gala, lending her enchanting voice to the story unfolding on stage.
