Visiting UPMC Hamot is always fun for Malkin and me, a volunteer team from Therapy Dogs United.

The staff, the patients, and the families welcome us everywhere, but we especially love visiting children and their families. Malkin loves getting pets and hugs, and every once in a while, you get to see that special bond between a child and a dog, and it is just that — special.

I am honored that Malkin and I get to be a part of brightening a child’s day by bringing smiles to them and their families.
